There is a panel in the front of the garment that flips down to allow women to nurse an infant. The eyes of the woman are visible, as well as the top of their noses. Women do not wear the carthin until they have gone through their first monthly cycle (the Changing Time). Until then, the females are merely considered children and dress similar style to the boys.
Peeking under a nomad woman's carthin is an offense punished by instant death.
