The Vardmiter clan of dwarves was the builders' clan. It is led by Utan. After the dwarf civil war, the clan and the rest of Utan's faction have left to live in the Highport Mountains.

Vardmiter was the builders' clan before the dwarf civil war. It is the largest of the dwarf clans, but had the least wealth and political influence. Most of Varmiter's members were poor outcasts; some were of mixed blood or were cripples. They lived on the lowest levels of Mount Velik. Some of them lived in caves and some in tiny houses built of stone. The clan became the default group for anyone the other clans did not want to accept.
